When shopping online from the Sheer Bride website you automatically accept our terms and conditions. Without prior notice at any time, these terms and conditions are subject to change at our sole discretion. Therefore, we recommend that you read the following carefully before placing your order.

PRICES

Prices shown on this website are in USD and incl. South African VAT of 25%. Please note that your local taxes, customs, VAT etc. are not incl. the price and as a customer you are responsible for settling these amounts upon arrival of goods in your region.

Prices are subject to change in our sole discretion without prior notice. We aim to update our prices as needed but due to fabric availability, world circumstances and changes of shipping times.

 

ORDERS

To make purchases on this website, easily browse the retailer area and select your garments, specified size and complete your order. When your order contains several garments, we will ship altogether based on the garment with the latest manufacturing time.

For your first order a minimum of 5 pieces are required.
All orders thereafter have no minimum order amount.

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. Your VAT invoice will be enclosed in the email.

We reserve an explicit right to cancel your order, whether or not your order has been placed and you have been charged. This may be due to errors in prices or information, extended fabric deliveries or discontinuations etc. We will notify you by email in advance of any such action, and we will refund payments in full to the payment method used when placing your order. We will not be liable for any damages or costs caused by the cancellation.

At this stage accept online orders from wholesale stockists only. We can accommodate individual orders from brides at our discretion

 

ORDERING TIMELINE

Each Sheer Bride garment is made by elite dressmakers using luxurious fabrics, embroideries and lace. All dresses  (dresses, jackets, tops etc.) in the e-store are available to order in standard or individual sizes and takes up to 14 weeks to create, and up to 6 weeks for accessories and tops, jackets, jumpsuits. This excludes shipping times, which we will estimate as you place your order. We recommend ordering your garment sooner than later to ensure that you will receive your garment well in advance of your clients wedding date, to accommodate for local additional tailoring if such are required.

 

PAYMENTS

The full payment is charged to your account at the time your order is shipped. Once you have made your selections and completed the online order form, we will send you a secure payment link. We require full settlement of your order before items can be shipped.

We accept payments with PayPal. All transactions are processed using QuickPay, a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a safe host environment.

To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe and secure, we use SSL technology (Secure Socket Layer) that provides for the safe transmission of your personal data, including credit and debit card information.

 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

We are happy to give complimentary shipping on all orders above $450 worldwide. Individual items are charged at a fixed fee of $50 per item. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to ship orders to Russia, Turkmenistan and P.O. boxes. This list will be updated as needed due to changes in current world circumstances.

All orders are shipped from our production workshop in Ukraine by our courier DHL Express and are trackable and insured during transit. As your order is shipped you will within 12 hours receive a shipping receipt with tracking number. Upon receipt of the package, this insurance coverage expires. We are not liable for any losses or delays caused by the courier or postal services, however the insurance will help you retrieve any monetary losses.

Although DHL Express is a fast and reputable service, shipping times may vary and can be delayed due to customs issues or unforeseen circumstances and are therefore indicative only. Our shipping times are currently affected by the global pandemic and therefore these are just approximate timelines that we may revise at any time. We endeavour to give you a firm idea of delivery times as you place your order.

Europe 1 – 5 days
Rest of the World 5 – 15 days

 

RETURN POLICY

We are confident that you are satisfied with the quality of our garments. If for any reason you or your client is not fully satisfied, you may withdraw from your contract of the purchase at any time within 7 days, effective from the date you or a representative, other than the couriers, has signed for receipt of the parcel.

To withdraw from your contract of purchase, you have to request a return by sending us a direct email to hellosheerbride@gmail.com with the subject “Return request”. The email must include the reason for return, date of the order, invoice no., the date of receipt, a copy of your delivery receipt and your name and address.

You are required to return the garment to us immediately and no later than 10 days after the date you have notified us of your decision to withdraw. It is your sole responsibility to return the item(s) safely to us in original condition and settle any costs associated with returning the item(s). We reserve the right to deny or modify the cost of the item should it have occurred damages in the return process.

Take advantage of our easy return service. Use the pre-printed return label found inside the original package and contact your local DHL Express to organise pick up. This service releases you from the responsibility for loss or damage during transit. The return costs will be deducted from your refund.

If you decide to return using a different shipping method, costs will be at your expenses and responsibility. We will not compensate for lost or damaged returns.

Before returning please be aware, that you are liable for any diminished value of your order resulting from your handling. Therefore, we emphasise that you take great care when trying on these luxurious garments. All garments must be returned in unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered and undamaged condition, without any odour, makeup, grass, dirt, dust or other stains. and in its original packaging, enclosed the original invoice. Orders must be returned from within the same country they were originally shipped to.

We reserve the right to withhold refunds until we have received and inspected your returns. Immediately and within 14 days at most, effective the day that we received your returns, we will refund payments in full, deducted the return costs, to the payment method used when placing your order. In the case that your returns do not meet our return policy, we will evaluate the diminished value of the garment at our sole discretion, and only part or none of your order amount will be refunded to you.

Important! Customised (altered or added details) or individually sized garments cannot be returned.

SIZING

All our garments are made in standard US sizes as indicated by our size chart.  We are proud to offer sizes in the ranges of US 2-28 at indicated price. We may accommodate sizes outside of this range at individual request. This would be quoted separately.

Our size chart indicates approximate body measurements, not garment measurements, and may not reflect your usual size in regular clothing.

Should your measurements fall in between sizes, individual sizes are available at special request. These garments cannot be exchanged or refunded. We are unable to take responsibility for changes to your measurements during the ordering time scale. Therefore we recommend a careful consideration before ordering a smaller size than your current if your client intends to change size before the wedding.

Sheer Bride is not responsible for errors in taking your measurements and will deliver the gown in the measurements provided. Allow for a variation up to 3/4 inch due to fabric ease.

Should you have any doubts, our team will be delighted to support you with the best size according to your body measurements and the specific garment as the fabric behavior may vary from one textile roll to another.

ALTERATIONS

Due to the nature of online shopping, we cannot provide an alterations service. We recommend that you contact a local skilled tailor to assist you with the final alterations of your garment for a perfect fit on your wedding/wear date.

We are not liable for the result of local tailoring, neither the cost of alterations.

 

CARE GUIDE

Sheer Bride garments are made from luxurious and delicate fabrics like silk, tulle, embroideries and lace and must be carefully worn and maintained. Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces and sharp edges to protect the fabric from damage and care should be taken when wearing jewellery, watches, perfume etc.

Your garment will arrive protected in a garment bag or paper box to ensure it remains in perfect condition.

For long-term storage, we recommend storing in an acid-free box and tissue paper. Storage of textiles must be in a clean, cool, dry and dark area with no changes in temperature, humidity and light. Loft, and basements are not optimal storage areas due to humidity, creatures and temperature changes.

 

OUR HANDCRAFTED PROCESS

We make every effort to ensure our reproductions are exact, nevertheless, all our garments are handcrafted, and there may be small variations between your garment and the one photographed. Likewise, there may be slight variations in the fabrics from our suppliers. Colours are displayed as accurately as possible, however as computer monitors, tablets and mobile devices vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of a colour will be accurate. 

DISCLAIMERS & COPYRIGHT

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any kind of direct or indirect damages, loss or claim, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, replacement costs or any similar damages arising from your order, improper use of our garments or any resulting from the information in this website or otherwise connected to this website. This also applies to all websites, which we link to. We have no control over these external websites and assume no responsibility.

COMPLAINTS & GOVERNING LAW

We do careful checks of our garments before shipping. Any errors or defects in your garment must be invoked within a reasonable time and no later than 7 days from the date of receipt. It is your duty to specify and show the error or defect before shipping the item back to us. Our return policy covers only manufacturing errors, and does not cover errors or defects caused by improper handling, transit damages or accidents. Please note that we do not return worn garments.

In case you wish to make a complaint about a garment ordered from us, please email us at hellosheerbride@gmail.com giving full details including invoice no., your name, address and contact details, attaching clear photos and descriptions of the issue. We do not accept returns of items before a return confirmation has been issued.

All legal disputes arising out of or in connection with an order from us shall be governed exclusively by the laws of South Africa in South African courts.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

Sheer Bride will collect submitted data process your order, support your experience throughout this website including the online booking system, and when interacting with us in person, by email and social media. We keep your personal data for as long as we find it necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.

We are delighted to receive photos of you wearing a Sheer Bride garment and sincerely appreciate when we may use these on our website and social media.

If for any reason you want your data or photos erased, we fully respect that and will do so immediately. You have the right to obtain access to the personal data held about you, and to correct or erase these when no longer needed. Please send us an email at hellosheerbride@gmail.com with your request.

We appreciate your trust in us to treat your data safe and never forwarding these to third parties.
